Antique late Victorian baby dress, 34" long, high quality all hand sewnwith tiny, perfect stitching.It was the height of late Victorian fashion to use these long dresses as day wearuntil the child was old enough to crawl. The two dresses I am listing todaycame from the same family.
Made from light, airy cotton lawn with tiny details that lift it out of the ordinary.Tiny feather-stitch to bodice, neckline, cuffs, a tiny mop button at the wristwith buttonhole loop, hand sewn tucks.The... full skirt is machine embroidered with sprigs & trailing flower pattern.Fastens at the back with three small wash buttons & neck string.A charming dress, understated & original. Back Yoke : 8" (20cm)
Neck to Sleeve End : 9" (23cm)Underarm Sleeve : 6" (15cm)
ConditionThere are some small, extremely faint marks on the back yoke,
see last photo.It really is hard to see them
Also two orange age marks on the back hem lace.
