1737 Land Deed, Andover, Massachusetts Great Britain Colony before the American Revolution, Joseph Marten from Mass. Bay in New England paid 100 lbs. current money of New England, 10 Acres of land. On the bottom the witness of Joseph Martin, Elizabeth Martin of the 3rd day of February in the 8th year of the reign and sovereign Lord George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland in the year of our Lord God anno Domini seventeen thirty four or five (1734... or 5). This piece of document is 2083 years old, before the Revolutionary War, before George Washington while Great Britian was in control of this deed. This deed is in rough shape - I had to put a tiny piece of scotch tape to hold it together but it can be removed very easily. Someone put scotch tape on this paper which is not good.
