1930’s Art Deco Carter’s Bronze Pelican State Bird Marble Desk Pen Holder. The large marble base measures approximately 8" by 10" by 7/8" thick, the smaller platform supporting the bronze is 3" by 4.5" by 7/8" and the bronze Pelican is approximately 5" tall by 4.25" wide, it's signed makers mark A.M.G. 333 on the side, the pen holders are signed CARTER'S PAT. APPL"D FOR and have some gold plate loss, the bottom has green felt. The whole thing weighs 10lbs. 6 ozs. The Pelican i...s the State bird of Louisiana.
