Up for auction is a great old cdv photo album having 39 pictures being mostly from Leavenworth, Kansas and Atchison, Missouri. Lots of men and women in their finest attire. I only took approximately twelve of the pictures out of their slots, and all were from Leavenworth or Missouri. I haven't seen the majority of the back of the cards. The ones which I removed were easy to pull out, and I left the harder ones i...n the book in fear of damaging the album or the pictures. The few pictures I removed were returned to their original slots. One of the civil war soldiers is identified on the back as "father's cousin", his name, and what looks like Company C, 19th Iowa. First name is Leander, but I cant make out second name. The writing is faint, and I have weak eyes. His name is also written at the base on the front of the card.The album itself is complete, with both leather covers and spine being intact. Most of the interior pages have pulled away from the spine and are loose. Both metal cover clasps are present and functional, thereby holding the collection together. Due to condition, no value should be placed on the album itself. If you are expecting an album in good condition, you will be disappointed. True ebay auction experience......$9.99 opening bid!!!!
