Up for auction is a great old cdv photo album having 37 pictures being mostly from Indiana. Backmarks show studios from Indianapolis, Arba, Frankfort, Thornton, Crawfordville, Bloomington, and Greensburg. A few of the images are of Civil War Soldiers, including one etching of Gen. McClellan. Two of the soldiers appear to be of the same individual, with on standing and one of his bust. The standing picture has a Brady's Studio backma...rk. Another soldier has what I've been told is a memorial wreath around his image, and it originates from Terra Haute. Also, I noted that at least one image has a tax revenue stamp affixed. I only took a few of the pictures out of their slots, so I haven't seen the majority of the back of the cards. The ones which I removed were easy to pull out, and I left the harder ones in the book in fear of damaging the album or the pictures. The few pictures I removed were returned to their original slots.The album itself is complete, with both leather covers and spine being intact. Most of the interior pages have pulled away from the spine and are loose. Both metal cover clasps are present and functional, thereby holding the collection together. Due to condition, no value should be placed on the album itself. If you are expecting an album in good condition, you will be disappointed. All of the pictures, though, are in decent shape for their age. True ebay auction experience......$9.99 opening bid!!!!
