I have these (4) fun Victorian era skirt lifters that are original period pieces. These were used for woman to hike up their skirt to keep their dress clean while getting into a carriage, while walking through dirt or mud, and once the bicycle came along they were important pieces of riding bicycles to keep your dress out of the wheels. These particular brass lifters have different designs and one is marked Eureka Bancroft, they are all 4 1/2" long, and no makers mark that I can see except for t...he one. Looks to be in great overall condition as shown. My pics show both sides of the actual lifter/grip. Im selling a small collection so see my other auctions for more!!
