2-Lot John Lennon Hardcover Books InHis Own Write in English and French!Note: I’m not a book guy, so I’m not going topretend that I am. Please rely on thephotos, in addition to the descriptions. In His Own Write--- As indicated by the title page, thisis an 11th printing from 1964. These must have been smelling like hot kooks if there were 11 printingsin a year. Either that, or they didn’tchange the copyright date.Cover is good. Has some wear. Top... part of the spine looks like someone whoisn’t me tried to repair it. It may notbe a convincing job if I can tell that, but it looks reasonable. Back cover has a moderate gouge. En Flagrant Delire--- Sorry, but this keyboard doesn’t havean accent for the word, “Delire.” Titlepage does not indicate which printing this is, so I suppose there’s a veryslight chance that this could be a first printing. Don’t cut-and-paste me on that, though.Cover is good. Moderate to heavy wear to both boards. Again, a close examination of the spine lookslike it’s been repaired. This is a very cool set of books foryour collection, or as a gift for your Beatles fan. Lennon’s writing from that period of timeisn’t always very PC, as seen in some of the photos. They are included here as a heads-up that if you’re easilyoffended by what could now be considered racist, double-entendre or off-colorwhimsy, I would want you to be aware. Ifyou’re okay with this kind of humor, his writings and sometimes his drawingsare hysterically funny.By the way, do you recognize theillustration from the last photo? Thiswas the original use of the “Free as a Bird” picture sleeve drawing. Pretty neat, huh? Please don’t bid unless you’rewilling to honor your amount, okay? Thanks!(Pleasenote that due to time constraints, I have had to stop play-testing myvinyl. However, I am happy to by request. As these records have been in storage formany years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a goodmoisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine alwaysclears them up. Thanks!)
