You are bidding for a beautiful Art Nouveau silvered pewter tray depicting a stylised maiden with whiplash body and arms outstretched surrounded by flowers on a river bank and dating to circa 1910. Measuring approximately (14 1/2" or 37cms) in length by (7" or 18cms) at widest width, at one time it was stamped on the reverse: "Achille Gamba - GSW" and the angel symbol. The symbol is worn down and you cannot make it out. Achille Gamba was an Italian... sculptor who was born in Acqualana in 1881 - he died in 1944. This is a stunning piece which would enhance any collection - only comment would be very minor surface wear - it does have a lovely patina however.
