1875 Arms Of California Gold $1/2. Rare Eureka Fractional Token/coin/charm/medal
Item History & Price
Here is a beautiful Arms of California token for sale. This gold piece is in attractive, lustrous condition. Read on for more information. Please view our other items for more coins, tokens, bullion items and antiques. This token is believed to have been struck in low karat yellow gold. I suspect this example is solid 10 karat gold given its weight. I have one report that it is heavily plated in gold. It is too small and pretty for my less than nimble fingers to test. Whatever the finen...ess may be there is just a bit of gold here. This tiny piece is smaller than a dime and weighs .32 grams.Token is catalogued by Mike Locke as a Round 1875 Arms of California Gold 1/2. It has an A.O.C. #1 obverse and a Wreath #2 reverse. Piece is believed to have been struck on or about the given date of 1875. This wonderful type is scarce and always in demand! This small charm is not denominated and is not legal tender; just an unusual old token. This example is in Extra Fine to Almost Uncirculated condition. It is very attractive with great detail and lustrous color. Token is well struck on a very pleasing planchet. It has the gleam and eye appeal of a nice uncirculated coin.
