Antique 1930's German Oak Mantel Clock with Westminster Chime (Pendulum and Key)
This is an Antique 1930's German Oak Mantel Clock with Westminster Chime. This clock is in excellent condition and is in full working order. The body of the clock is made from oak and finished in a rich, deep, honey colour. The oak has time wear patina and the odd scuff, mainly on the edges. This adds to the appearance of the clock. The face of the clock is a silvered metal with black numbers and h...ands. The hands have diamond like shapes at the ends. Underneath the number six it says: FOREIGN. The clocks marked Foreign were marked in this way because Germany was not favourable at the time. To the right of the number three it has a lever to silence the chime. This clock has three winding holes, which means that the clock chimes every quarter of an hour. The face has a metal framed, glass casing, which is intact and in excellent condition. The clock is Napoleon's hat shaped with four little legs at the base. The mechanism is housed in the door at the back. It is marked: FORIEGN. The chime bars, which produce a Westminster chime, are situated underneath the mechanism. This clock comes complete with it's pendulum and key.
