Vintage RH4 model small hunter-skinner (RH for Remington Hunter) manufactured by the famous Remington Arms Company. This is the hard-to-find Depression-era type manufactured during the short-lived Remington-Dupont joint venture. "Remington-Dupons" are rare: Dupont was in a knife making business for just 2 years from 1933 to 1934. Ricasso is stamped Remington / DUPONT / RH4. The knife is about 7-1/2" / 9 cm overall; the blade is about 4" / 10.2 cm long; it's razor-sharp still, the tip ...is intact. Amber-brown jigged bone handle scales with bronze pins; the handle is solid; nickel guard has a bit of a play. Brown leather sheath is old, but it's not original to the knife; seems to be a cut-down sheath for a larger knife. It's in good condition overall, considering the age.
