A fine and very rare 1854 Jones Ball & Co. silver oak leaf and acorn presentation coffee pot.
John B. Jones opened his shop in Boston in 1832.Listed as Jones Ball & Co. for only two years from 1853-1854.As such, this particular hallmark is rare.
Jones Ball & Co. exhibited at the New York Crystal Palace Exposition, their workwas described as remarkable.
Later partnerships were formed an...dended until the firm became Shreve Crump & Low.

The coffee pot in raised pear shape and beautifully hand carved oak leaf, acorn and entwined vineframed shield with presentation.The everted panel rim with shaded leaf pairs, perfectly aligns with the scalloped edge of thepavilion cover, which retain s the original oak leaf and acorn finial, and original fastener.Curled lead cap oak leaf and acorn spout, and conformingleaf wrapped tapering handle with satin chased leaf terminal.
Hand engraved 1854 presentation to one side.
Hallmarked as shown.
