Original Description:
This is a neat cast iron wall or desk paper clip/paperweight. It is marked Depose on the inside of the mouth of the clip. I don't know how old this is. It is handpainted and in the shape of a dachshund's head. Measures 5" long. This does not have the patina of an antique piece so I don't think it's a 100 year old casting, rather a remake of an antique design. Being marked Depose may mean it was made in France but again, no idea. It's in good condition with no flaws or wear except some ...slight wear to the paint, and there is a slight bit of surface rust beginning on the spring that holds it together. Thanks for looking!
