A stunning Edwardian 18ct Gold Diamond & Ruby 'Trilogy' Ring dating to 1907, which is centrally set with a Diamond flanked to either side by a Ruby - all set in Star Settings. Trilogy Rings were popular as tokens of love in the Edwardian Period with each Diamond representing a word: 'I Love You' (please seethe detailed close-up photographs provided, which form an integral pa...rt of theitem's description).
This wonderful Antique Ring has Deeply Carved Shoulders with Scroll Decoration leading to the Diamond & Ruby set Gallery with Fluted Edge Decoration. The ring is set with a central Diamond of approx' 3 Points in a Star Setting, which is flanked by two Rubies that are similarly set to create a ring that epitomizes Edwardian Style.
As shown this fine quality ring, which weighs 2.5 grams, is stamped with a full British Hallmark, confirming that the ring is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in Chester in 1907. Overall the ring is in great condition with only wear to the surface of the ring commensurate with age.
This wonderful ring is sized as a UK Ring Size 'N', which equates to a US Ring Size '6 3/4' - as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalized i.e it is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gauge depending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring when worn.
