Antique Edwardian 18ct Gold Gypsy Set Diamond Trilogy Ring c1908UK Ring Size 'M', or US Ring Size '6 1/4'
A stunning Edwardian 18ct Gold Diamond Trilogy Ring dating to 1908, which is in crisp original condition. Trilogy Rings were popular as tokens of love in the Edwardian Period with each Diamond symbolising a word: 'I Love You' (please study detailed close up photographs, which form an integral part of the ring's description).
This wonderful Antique Ring, wh...ich weighs 2.2 grams, has Deeply Carved Shoulders with Scroll Decoration leading to Diamond set Gallery with Fluted Edge Decoration. The ring is gypsy set with a central Diamond of approx' 5 points in a Star Setting, which is flanked by two smaller Diamonds that are similarly set to create a ring that epitomises Edwardian Style.
As shown fine quality Diamond Ring is stamped with a Maker's Mark 'JH' together with a full British Hallmark, confirming that the ring is made from solid 18ct Gold and that it was assayed in Chester in 1908.
Overall the ring is in great condition with only light wear commensurate with age - the Hallmark is still as crisp & clear as the day it was struck, which is indicative of how little this ring has been worn.
The ring is sized as a UK Ring Size 'M', which equates to a US Ring Size '6 1/4' - as with almost all antique rings the band is slightly ovalised i.eit is not perfectly round and it measures slightly differently on the gaugedepending on how it is positioned, however this will not affect the ring whenworn.
