Aldo Londi Bitossi Pottery Bull Italy Mid Century Modern Rimini Blu/Blue This is a beautiful iconic Aldo Londi design “Rimini Blue” glaze pottery bull figure by Bitossi Pottery of Italy circa 1960s / early 1970s. Gorgeous blended blue / green glaze with impressed geometric shapes. Great Mid Century Modern classic design! This may be an earlier version, as the clay was hand-packed into the design mold with only one hole on the belly. Later / recent versions were sli...p-cast and have holes at each hoof. Marked on the bottom “4512 Italy”. Item measures 12 ½” long x 5 ¾” wide x 6” tall and weighs about 3 ½ lbs. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, however there are a few glaze nicks on high relief areas (about 15 spots (MOL), see pics) with a VERY shallow left rear foot chip (about ⅜” x ¼” ).
