SALT GLAZED STONEWARE CROCK JUG WITH TURKEY DROPPING
- Crock came from Lancaster, Pennsylvania but not sure if that is where it originated.
- Measures just under 7.25” tall and approx 6" diameter at base. No chips nor cracks nor issues- hard to find in this perfect condition.
- Any irregularities appear to have occurred in original firing.- Nice orange peeling look -not the surface or texture but the orange or reddish brown dots staining on the top of the crock (not typi...cal but same look) and a great turkey dropping or drip!
This is a Whiskey Jug most likely - utilitarian and classically designed in form. It is a really nicely made storage pottery crock. Please see photos for your estimation of condition.
