Up for auction is a very nice antique red leather covered book titled History of the conquest of Peru with a preliminary view of the civilisations of the Incas by William H. Prescott. This is advertised as a new edition and Author's authorised edition. Published in London by George Routledge and Sons, the broadway, Ludgate. I do not see a date published but on the inside of the book there is a note written in pencil from Emma Sept. 8th 1880 thus I put the date p...ublished as 1880. It might even be earlier. The heading page has split from the spline in a few places but is still intact and the rest of the pages seem fine. The covers have some rub marks but the leather is still in fine shape. Overall a nice collectible and interesting book. No reserve and priced to have bidders.
