The mahogany and birdseye maple case has a stunning patina colouring to it which displays absolutely beautifully, the case has a sliding removable hood which has a hinged glazed door to gain access to the dial, the trunk has a fully glazed door which you can see the weights and pendulum through, both doors have push/pull catches holding them shutThe Clock Measures - 77.25 inches high x 17.75 inches wide x 10 inches deepDialThe clock has a 13 inch x 9.75 inch arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring and pierced brass spandrels, the dial has roman numerals. The dial is in excellent condition, there is also a silent/chime selection lever on the left hand side.MovementThe clock has a 8 day triple weight driven 1/4 striking musical movement which plays the westminster chime every 1/4 hour and on the hour after the musical chime has finished it will strike the amount of hours on 4 seperate gong rods, the movement is signed by the makers Franz HermleCondition ReportThis clock is in great original condition some case marks and in full working order.
