Welcome to my listing, please allow me to introduce myself. My name is James. I am a horologist and have been working with clocks and watches for over 30 years. The carved oak case has a beautiful colouring to it which displays wonderfully, the case has a hinged glazed door to gain access to the dial, the trunk has a fully glazed door which gains you access to the weights and pendulum and there is also a door to the base, all 3 doors have ball cathes to hold them shut. On the side there is a removable panel which can help when hanging the pendulum and setting up and clockThe Clock Measures - 78.75 inches high x 19 inches wide x 10.5 inches deepDialThe clock has a 14.75 inch x 11 inch arched brass dial with silvered chapter ring and pierced brass spandrels, the dial has roman numerals. The dial is in excellent conditionMovementThe clock has a 8 day triple weight driven 1/4 striking musical movement which plays the westminster chime every 1/4 hour and on the hour after the musical chime has finished it will strike the amount of hours on 4 seperate gong rods. The weights are wound by pulling the chaindown for each weight to lift up.
