It is a repoussé piece meaning it was made using a metalworking technique in which a malleable metal is shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief. I haven't found another little box with this design. The top and bottom almost remind me of a Jello mold. The sides have a design that uses six petal flowers and backward facing C's with a star in the center circle. The border below the lid is a tiny beaded border of dots. Behind it all the background is vertical stripes! It's quite intricate. I've seen many floral and vine motifs but this little box stands out from them all.
