The box has repousse decoration of scrollingacanthus leaves and a vacant cartouche to the lid for the new owner to addtheir own monogrammed initials. Onlifting the l...id reveals a gilded interior which is in good condition. To the underside is a Birmingham hallmarkdate letter ‘z’ for the year 1899 together with the maker’s initials ‘H.W.L’for Henry Williamson Ltd. The box is ingood condition with only the most minor of dents to the underside of nosignificance along with scratches marks probably made by the maker. The box measures 2.1 incheslong by 1.6 inches wide and stands 0.9 inches high.
