Solid Hammered Brass SPANISH CONQUISTADOR STIRRUPS
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:3828246 | Style: Spanish |
Maker: Unknown |
This type of stirrup is known as "Conquistador" stirrups, suggesting that they were taken to South America when it was colonised by the Spanish. As these are not generally found in Spain itself they were most likely developed in South America after the colonization. I cannot tell you the exact age of these. Made of brass and you can tell they have been hammered to form. Each has the drain hole in the bottom and a small hole d...rilled in the back edge so they could be hung. Each one measures just over 10" long and weighs 2 1/2 pounds (each) SHIPPING: Buyer pays shipping costs. PAYMENT: Paypal is gladly accepted. NOTE: Payment is expected within 7 days. Due to a large number of late payments and non-paying bidders, if the payment is not received within 7 days I will relist the item and leave appropriate feedback.
