Vintage Trans-Badge Ludwig Pioneer Snare Drum in Mahogany, 5x14, model 491. I’m guessing 1960 but as you can see in pics the date is blurred.this auction is for snare drum only. It is in great condition considering age. And drum tuned easily and sounds amazing. I wiped it down but purposely did not mess with any of the original finishes.
It is all original except... I believe the two screws holding the snare throw to drum have been replaced. Perfectly functional — and easy to re...place — but full disclosure is always best. (Note: all nuts and washers inside the drum, including for snare throw, appear to be original/perfect.)I’m happy to answer any questions, though I am a drummer, not an expert in vintage drums.
