Here are 2 great miniature cast iron dogs from Hubley in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They are SCOTTISH TERRIERS or SCOTTIES. One is seated and it has a Hubley signature red collar. The other is standing.
He is solid cast iron. The paint is original and all good on both. The seated dog's paint is in excellent condition and the standing dog's paint has a couple surface nicks. The standing dog measures 1.25" tall and 1.875" long... and the seated dog measures 1.375" tall and 1.5" wid...e.
My Great Uncle Edward Musser was a designer at Hubley and he would give his little sister (my grandmother) samples of the first run of the things he had designed.
