Offered in this sale is an antique Meissen porcelain figure of a girl holding a bird in one hand. I believe that this dates to the 19th century or perhaps earlier. It has a blue crossed swords mark on the base and an incised mark and a small red painted mark which you can see illustrated in the 2nd image. It measures roughly 4 1/4" tall. Th...e condition is good. There is a scallop chip on the underside of the brow of her hat and there appears to be a ribbon of some sort missing that would have extended from her right hand and over to the base of her left hand which I think was would have also touched the right front drape of her skirt. I don't know the model so I am not able to say precisely the piece looks like that is missing, however, this is well worth having restored. Other than this there is no other damage or restoration. Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and the condition and do not hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions or would like additional images. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is $4.00.The last six images illustrate just a few of the many other items I have or will be posting separately soon for sale on Ebay from several different estate collections including a rare 1876 Philadelphia World's fair photo ticket pass (7th image), an Austrian or French guilloche enamel box, Ming Dynasty blue and white china, a small collection of Royal Copenhagen bird figures, flow blue china, Sunderland lusterware, a number of pieces of Historical Staffordshire china, the remaining pieces from a collection of British Royal Commemorative china, Rosenthal porcelain and an assorted lot of Victorian to mid century jewelry, a small collection of 19th and early 20th century Chinese and Japanese porcelain and ceramics, Royal Doulton Toby Mugs and Royal Aynsley china, Scandinavian art glass, antique photo album and photographs, Nippon, California pottery, old U.S. and World Stamps, a number of piece of vintage Chinese Cultural Revolution memorabilia, Soviet Russian and Chinese Cultural Revolution pins and caps, American and Continental art pottery, a Werner Jacobsen pottery New Hope Pa artist colony mug along with an eclectic mix of other 18th - 20th century American, English, Continental and Chinese ceramics, porcelain, glass and accessories.
