I SHIP WORLD WIDE
INCLUDING CHINA AND RUSSIA
Offered in this sale is an antique Meissen porcelain figure of a seated girl with a violin and bow. I believe that this is an 18th century piece as the base in not glazed like the later versions. It is marked with faint blue crossed swords, some incised marks and a small red painted mark which could be a decorators mark. My guess is that t...his was designed by Johann Kaendler. It measures roughly 5" tall and is 2 1/2" at its widest. It weighs more than eight ounces and has the good early "feel" of the 18th century pieces. The condition is good. The top of the bow and the top of the violin are missing, otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks or restoration. This is well worth having restored and is certainly an investment quality piece of Meissen. Please be sure to enlarge and zoom each image for a close up view of the detail and the condition and do not hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions or would like additional images. I always guarantee everything that I sell to be as described. This piece is being sold without a reserve as long as there is an opening bid. The shipping cost within the United States is $4.00.The last four images illustrate just a few of the many other items I have or will be posting separately soon for sale on Ebay from several different estate collections including a UNIQUE one of a kind signed and professionally authenticated AUDREY HEPBURN in Gigi 1951 Broadway Window Lobby card (see 10th image), an early Republic period famille verte Chinese porcelain vase, a unique one of a kind "Novelty" cheese knife that was a gift to someone from GIL HILARIO who was the gentleman who is noted as marrying the first Miss World contestant Armi Kuusele in the early 1950s, a Josh Simpson "Inhabited Planet" wine goblet (not signed), a small collection of mid 20th century Fenton cranberry opal glass, a number of 19th century Meissen figurines, a number of pieces of Historical Staffordshire china, the remaining pieces from a collection of British Royal Commemorative china, Rosenthal porcelain and an assorted lot of Victorian to mid century jewelry, a small collection of 19th and early 20th century Chinese and Japanese porcelain and ceramics, Royal Doulton Toby Mugs and Royal Aynsley china, Scandinavian art glass, a lavender Wedgwood jasper bowl, antique photo album and photographs, Nippon, California pottery, old U.S. and World Stamps, a number of piece of vintage Chinese Cultural Revolution memorabilia, Soviet Russian and Chinese Cultural Revolution pins and caps, American and Continental art pottery, a Werner Jacobsen pottery New Hope Pa artist colony mug along with an eclectic mix of other 18th - 20th century American, English, Continental and Chinese ceramics, porcelain, glass and accessories.
