Up for sale is this super-rare vintage Lafayette Type 264A Wide Range Tube Amplifier, circa late 1930s. I purchased this amp at a recent estate sale and it will ship to you just like I found it. Given it's age, I have not tried to power it on, nor have any of the tubes been tested. This amp features several 6L6 tubes! I did not find any information on this particular amplifier but I found a similar model that was advertised in the 1938 Lafayette catalog. It said that these amps have "g...lowing red neon control dials" - doesn't that sound pretty cool! The cosmetic condition is good. There is some minor surface rust, wear, and other imperfections like you might expect on a piece this old. One of the original knobs is missing but that could easily be replaced. Leave and use as is - or perhaps restore it to it's original condition!
