From an old watchmakers shop, this is an Elgin direct read wristwatch. The watch case is in nice condition with some slight brassing starting in the front center of the case. The crystal was made by the watchmaker and it is plastic slightly thicker than a standard one. The movement is a new old stock model 721 with 23 jewels. The movement has a new stem and a new water proof crown. The watch had no back so the watchmaker cut a back on his lathe from a 90 percent silver 1964 Kenne...dy half dollar. The watch has a nice snappy jump to the new hour and the jump is at the proper factory recommended time of past 59 minutes but before 60 minutes. My second picture shows the watch just seconds before the hour jump and the third picture is just seconds after the jump. The movement is in mint condition and it sets, winds and keeps very good time. The watch has been serviced. The watch comes with and Admiral gold filled band. The band has some brassing started and is poor but usable condition. The watch does not have the back cover gasket and is NOT waterproof. The waterproof crown is snug and winding is slightly hard.
