Pictured below is a terrific little vintage pin in sterling silver and enamel made by renowned American modernist Betty Cooke, Baltimore, MD, circa ‘50s. The pin is a disc shape, and features a stylized bird with enameling in acid green, medium yellow and black; the claw and beak details are incised. This is a small pin – its quality and craftsmanship are excellent – with clean, modern lines, great color and lots of charm.Measurements: The pin measures about ¾” in diameter (ab...out the size of a penny).Condition: It is in very good used vintage condition, with just light surface signs of age and wear, some darkened patina, but no detractors. The enamel surface is intact with no issues.Marks: The piece is signed on the bottom with impressed marks, ‘COOKE, STERLING.’ Please see my other auctions for more mid-Century modern design, vintage decorative pieces and jewelry.
