THE MOUNTS ARE OF BRASS WITH AMERICAN EAGLE AND OTHER PATRIOTIC DETAILS, THE GRIP IS WOOD WITH CORD AND REMAINS OF LEATHER WRAPPING. BLADE IS DOUBLE EDGED WITH CENTER RIDGE. SCABBARD IS STEEL WITH MATCHING BRASS MOUNTS. CONDITION IS POOR WITH MUCH AGE WEAR AND PATINA, BLADE AND HILT ARE TIGHT. LIKELY 1800s.
