For Sale Today: A great antique Staffordshire porcelain Children's Mug. This piece has quite an interesting scene, and seems to depict Military members in 19th Century attire at camp in a Tropical area, possibly India or the Caribbean; Tropical foliage sets a background against which uniformed individuals with rifles watch on as two other uniformed individuals, one mounted upon a horse, fire upon two fleeing boar. Quite a lovely piece and ...will make a great addition to any appreciator of Staffordshire pottery.Very good condition with no detectable repairs. Some roughness and fleabites around the top and bottom rims, commensurate with age. Minor areas of paint loss. Exhibits signs of age such as surface wear and weathering.
