Vintage Tinplate Battery Op M101 Aston Martin Secret Ejector Car, Daiya, Japan. VGiBA nice vintage tinplate battery operated M101 Aston MartinSecret Ejector Car with remote control, ie, James Bond's Aston Martin DB5 as seen in Goldfinger and Thunderball, with silver body, James Bond driver figure, “enemy” passenger figure, working bullet-proof shield, machine guns and ejector seat, made in Japan for Durham Industries of New York, USA, by the Daiya Co. in the 1960’s. The car mea...sures 11 inches long by 4 wide and 3.5 inches tall (with roof closed) and is in very good original part-working condition with some playwear and paint loss in places (mainly to the bumpers and surrounding area).When the remote switch is moved to “normal run”, the car moves forward as an ordinary car, move the switch to “machine guns” and the car moves with flashing machine guns out and firing, and rear bullet proof shield raised. The car moves with a mystery action.Press the button on the remote and the enemypassenger is ejected through the roof. The tinplate is in very good condition with a few scratches and loss of paint as described. The actions work well most of the time – occasionally the car stops, but moving the lever on the remote will usually move the car again. It may therefore benefit from some attention. The remote battery box is clean and free from rust. Marked on the inside of the rear windscreen with “Made in Japan”, it comes with a fair to good original box which shows wear and tape repairs in places but is anice addition to this classic, hard to find toy. A nice vintage tinplate battery operated M101 Aston Martin
Secret Ejector Car with remote control, ie, James Bond's
Aston Martin DB5 as seen in Goldfinger and Thunderball, with
silver body, James Bond driver figure, “enemy” passenger
