What is Very Good Condition? The typical used paperback in average condition. A solid copy, although with wear and defects to be expected. Unusual problems will be noted. The book can have a very slight browning of pages, but not brittleness or flaking; it may also have a small name written on an endpage, or... a small nameplate. Minor peeling of lamination. Minor corner crease, and/or light reading crease along the spine is normal for this grade. A minor spine roll is allowable.
"Pal Joey" by John O'Hara (Pal Joey was written as a series of letters—or short stories—in the magazine The New Yorker in the late 1930s.) 1st Edition - Paperback - Copyright 1946. - Penguin Books - New York - Paperback.131 Pages - Book measures about 4" x7"VERY GOOD CONDITION - This extremely rare paperback book is in very good condition.This paperback book has clearly been properly stored without evidence of moisture or sun exposure however, there is darkened patina to page edges. The front, back, spine, and page edges of this book are as original, and in such a condition that would warrant this as highly collectible(Please see pictures) regardless of its present condition, which would still be considered Very Good. This book reveals having not been used however, there is wear that would be consistent with time and storage, and is primarily isolated to both the spine corners, as well as both rub and delamination to the front and back cover. There is a bookstore stamp on the front endpage. Despite these defects, the spine and binding is very tight, intact, complete, and solid. The bulk of defects with this particular book, and there are not many, but again would be attributed to both time and storage.
