Original Description:
Rare and fine Americana doorstop by C.J.O. JUDD of New Britain, CT portraying a King Spaniel (# 1267) in thick and heavy cast iron.  Beautifully molded and detailed (front and back) with original paint.  In very nice crisp original condition free of cracks/breaks but does show some paint loss, surface age, grime, and oxidation.  Note: I did not wash or clean this beautiful antique doorstop which retains some droplets of wall paint splatter.  SEE all photos and ...ask seller if you've any questions.  Dimensions: appx 9.3" tall with small marking on reverse.  Referenced in the Schiffer Press Book of antique doorstops.   A superb and rare estate treasure.  A perfect house-warming gift for the dog lover, FREE gift wrapping upon request.
