Tiffany and Co. Bronze Inkwell. Lid embellished with a glass iridescent scarab. Circa: first quarter ofthe 1900's. Signed Tiffany & Co, Excellent condition. Glass Scarab completely intact. No Scratches or Repairs.It appears to have never been cleaned or polished. Original Finish. There are two pin head sizeholes on two of the corners on the bottom of the box. One goes through and one does not. I amnot sure the purpose of the holes bu...t I am sure they are original to the box. They are not visibleunless the box is turned up side down.
As the pictures depict, the original glass or porcelain container is missing. These are available.
I have researched Tiffany boxes with scarabs. I have not been able to find this exact box. Perhapsyou will be more successful that I have been.
