A great Antique 19th C Stoneware Salt Glazed Flower Decorated Ovoid Maryland 4 Gallon Crock. Excellent Condition 1 issue being an old hairline crack that runs above the base and extends onto the base, it extends to the inside, you can feel it with your fingernail, 100% secure & sound, rings true when you tap it, 2 old smooth chips to outer base rim, no other chips, cracks, or repairs, slight manufactured roughness with 2 in the firing small indents to the base rim. You ...can refer to the pictures we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the overall excellent condition, very clean displays very well. Measuring 15 1/4" tall x 8 1/4" at the top rim x 11 1/2" wide x 8 1/4" at the base and weighing 16lb 4oz the crock has a 4 for gallons. Great earlier ovoid form with hand tooled top rim, hand tooled and applied ear handles, great bright large cobalt blue flower decorations bordering the top shoulder and handles.
