This listing is for a French 19th century bronze of a songbird bird after Jules Moigniez. The bird is holding a letter holder in it's beak. The bird not including the letter holder measures 5 inches or 20 cm high. It is in it's original patina.This is a Jules Moigniez bronze. The reason the bronze is unsigned as his models that were made for utilitarian purposes, such as this letter holder, were not signed. As they were not considered pure art.This is an authentic 19th century bronze.... The bronze has excellent detail and a wonderful antique patina. It is a quintessential piece of Victorian era taste.It is no any kind of reproduction or recast or reproduction, It is in excellent condition. Shipping in the United States is $10.50.
