This is a stunning Madame Alexander vintage Elise doll from the 1950s. A beautiful brunette with her original spacer hair bar and a bountiful nape of curls at her neck. Her hair is silky and shiny, her body is tightly strung, she is free of odors or damage. She is lovely!!
Her dress is from 1959--described as a Nylon Print Dress with Velvet Sash in the catalog. It's light and sheer fabric is dotted with dainty bouquets of flowers. A peachy-pink velvet sash encircles her waist and en...ds with a bow in the back. The dress closes with square snaps in the back.
The dress is lovely. No damage, no odors. Underneath the dress she is wearing her original pink lace slip, taffeta panties and seamed stockings. Her hat is a gorgeous shimmery pink, tightly woven with a velvet rose. Her clothes, underclothes and hat are MINTY. The only defect at all is that the elastic is stretched on the taffeta panties. Everything else is near perfect!!
She is just breathtaking--a real beauty and a treasure for the collector. Anyone who appreciates vintage Madame Alexander would be thrilled with the condition of this Elise doll and the inclusion of the items in the auction.
I'm not sure if the shoes are original, but they do fit her so well that I did not have to use a doll stand during the photo shoot. And they will be included because they fit her perfectly and they match her dress perfectly!
