For sale is a vintage 1978 Ludwig Black Beauty 6.5x14" Snare Drum made from brass. The serial number is #1918058This is a gorgeous, first edition black nickel over brass, 6.5" x 14" snare drum.
The Black Beauty drums are some of the most recorded drums on the planet, and these vintage 70's models are even more sought after due to their limited run and level of quality. This snare comes complete with factory standard hardware including P85 throw-off & butt plate..., Ludwig snare wires, Imperial lugs, Blue & Olive badge, and Remo brand heads.The sound has a melodic bark to it. Like a fine cigar, this brass shell has been aged to perfection. The condition is a strong excellent +. There's little to no scratches or marks on the drum. Drum was found in a closet barely used.
The internal muffler and throw off work very well.Please check the pictures up close for more details. This is a very clean collectable snare drum.FREE-BEE!
