Vintage Guatemalan Wool Quetzal Blanket Here is a wonderful vintage 1930's Guatemalan hand woven wool Quetzal pattern blanket. Features Quetzal birds, villagers, flowers and geometric designs. Colors are still bright. Fringe measures approx. 3" long. Very thick and heavy, but has a nice feel to the surface. Family at estate sale said their parents bought this on a trip to Guatemala in the 1930's/40's. Parents were told it was also ca...lled a "wedding blanket". Measures 52" x 72". Excellent gently displayed overall condition with no holes, pulls or stains. Please see pictures for details. Estate sale find. Weighs 4.8 lbs. before packing.
