As long as ...the transformers are good, everything else is insignificant work!!!
TUBES INCLUDED: SET OF 4 LOW Hours Russian KT88 AND (6) 12BY7A preamp'Tubes reading range 88-93%. The guiding pin on 1 KT88 tube chipped off so we marked the guide location for proper insertion into the socket.
Bottom cover: HEAVY STEEL not the usual aluminum like a lot others I had (I believe HK made 2 different kinds, Aluminum and steel)
Work has been done by previous owner (ONLY THING I DID WAS THE BRIEF TEST AS VIDEO SHOWS): Power supply electrolytic capacitors (on the main bare steel strip) which are most critical for tube amp because it is costly to replace the three transformers (easily $1000) and easy to mess up during assembly / wiring!! I believe the two 4uf electrolytic caps hidden under the 2 circuit boards - 1 on each side- have not been updated because they are under the boards.Cathode resistors changedResistances measured and voltages read - within specsCurrent In-Rush surge protector (the big round black capacitor connected to the fuse body in picture 10)Clean chassis refinished in bronze color.
The amp is WORKING BUT WILL BE SOLD AS IS FOR PARTS/REPAIR/RESTORATION BECAUSE: 1. IT IS 60 YEARS OLD 2. Although it was tested and working as shown in the video, it was a BRIEF TESTING PERIOD (only a 5-minute SOUNDTRACK) . WE ENCOURAGE BUYERS TO HAVE THE UNIT THROUGHLY CHECKED OUT BY YOUR LOCAL TECH PRIOR TO LONG TERM USAGE.3. MOST SENSITIVE TO PROPER INSTALLATION, CARE and MAINTENANCE. 4. Priced low compared to others on eBay so you have plenty of allowance to replace a part here and there like resistors and potentiometers (pots) ..... or re-arrange things to please your eyes WHILE YOUR LOCAL TECH GOES OVER IT FOR LONG TERM USE.
Ship to lower 48 states. Amp weighs close to 70 lbs with box and 1.5" solid styrofoam all around. Tubes will be shipped separately to avoid damage.Hawai and Alaska cost extra
