Vintage Apple Macintosh Color Classic M1600 Computer 10MB/160MB+Keyboard+Mouse. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail or FedEx or UPS.Up for sale is one of my last Color Classics. These are such cool computers! The logic board has had its battery replaced and it has been ultrasonically cleaned and fully recapped which is a requirement for boards of this era. There has also been a repaired trace. Most Color Classics have failing and/or leaking capacitors. Even logic boards with or...iginal capacitors that “look good” probably aren’t good!This system has the standard 16MHz 68030 CPU, upgraded 6MB installed RAM, and a 160MB Quantum hard drive. The screen seems crisp and clear and the sound seems ok. The case has yellowing that's worse on the back (see photos). Part of me wonders if some of the discoloration is from cigarette smoke vs. typical yellowing... The floppy drive has not been tested but it worked the last time I used it. The Quantum hard drive appears original and seems to work but you should assume that it will fail soon (as all Quantums do!). Also included is a used Apple keyboard and mouse that seem to work. The computer is running System 7.5.3 and is likely full of the original owners' files from the mid-late 90s. Enjoy digital archaeology and explore old tax returns, sports schedules, and resumes!You are getting exactly the items pictured. Although this computer and all accessories seem to work, the testing I performed wasn't exhaustive and I cannot offer guarantees on nearly 30-year old computers. It could work great for years to come or stop booting after you take it out of the box. Everything is being sold AS-IS and as NON-WORKING due to its age and my inability to offer a warranty.
