For sale is a lovely oval Talavera dish with handles by URIARTE from Puebla, Mexico. Hand-painted in the authentic luscious color palette of Talavera, the painting with its classic blue strokes is masterful, as to be expected from Uriarte artists. I have collected several of these dishes and find they are great for olives, trinkets, cosmetics, soap, resting a spoon, do-dads, cherry pits, etc.
Measurements and Misc. details: (approx.)Length: 8 3/4 inchesWidth: 4 1/2 inchesDepth: 1 3.../8 inchesCondition: previously cherished No chips or cracks though there is an area on the underside near a handle where the fired clay was not completely covered in glaze. Also, on the bottom there’s a small dent on the base rim which has been glazed over. These are not flaws or problems, just part of the process of uniquely hand-made pottery. This will be well wrapped and mailed within two work days of receiving payment. It comes from a non-smoker with no pets.shipping will be flat rate for the contiguous US.
