Here today for your consideration is a beautiful hard to find in this condition 1952 caracul wigged Ginny doll wearing a beautiful tagged "April" outfit made by Vogue in 1952. Although Im not the original owner it appears Ginny has been well taken care of and stored properly in what I would consider minty condition. Her adorable blonde poodle cut wig is pretty much in perfect condition with lots of short tiny little ringlets all over with none missing and no bare spots. Her body ...tone is even with no unwanted marks, stains, color transfers and no odors. She has no joint issues, she can stand perfectly by herself and hold posses, she has had her arms restrung. Her face paint is perfect, no fading, with beautiful vivid painted brown eyelashes and brows, stunning blushed cheeks with no rubs or enhancements, crystal clear dark brown open and close eyes (they stay open now), and sweet red painted lips. The 1952 tagged pale blue April outfit she is wearing is in excellent condition with stunning venetian lace, closing in the back with an original hook and eye. The tag does not look like the dress has been washed but the organdy shadow print is very light which could mean it has possibly been washed. As shown in the side view pictures their is a couple of small areas near the side/back of the skirt portion where the trim has come unstitched. The trim is undamaged it just needs a couple of stitches to secure it back in place. Should be a very simple fix. Other than that the dress is in excellent condition with no holes. no stains, no tears and no odors. Im unsure if her organdy bloomers are original to the outfit but they are in excellent condition that are sewn with the same blue thread as the dress. Under her dress she wears an original early 1950's stiff off white gauze half slip with a great waist and perfect pleated lace trim. The blue silk bow on the Bertha collar has been replaced with a vintage blue silk ribbon bow. In her hair she wears replaced tiny vintage blue silk bows and tiny vintage blue fuzzy flowers that I believe were original to Ginny dolls of the early 1950's. The flowers and bow in her hair are secured by tiny short sequin straight pins that are merely placed in her hair (not her plastic head) that will not cause any damage and can be easily removed. To complete April's outfit she has a blue plastic purse and wears vintage blue leatherette greek key center snap shoes in excellent condition and white socks. This little vintage doll is in amazing minty condition, please look at all of the pictures as they are a part of my detailed description. Should you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will respond ASAP. Thanks for taking a look and God Bless.
