Lefton Vintage Musical Cookie Jar - Baker boy - 1950’s
This is a RARE cookie jar with a neat treat, it plays music, there is a music box in his chef hat that plays London Bridge as the pastry basket swils around his hat.
He is 10" tall and the music box works, although it has become slower thru the years, he's almost 70 years old .This was my Great Aunt's and was always in her kitchen on Park Ave . NYC aprtment. on a top shelf of her cabinets behind glass. I reme...mber she used a fold away ladder to reach other items, so I'm assuming it wasn't used or used very little.
The condition is excellent with bright coloring and no crazing. There is one flaw which is a paint glaze flake in his pastry basket, there is a close up in the last picture. Neither are bad at all and you can't see them when the jar is displayed. The cookie jar is in very good condition .
A must for any Vintage Cookie Jar collector!

All items come from a smoke-free home with no pets unless otherwise indicated. A little about me, if you are curious:First off I am not a professional EBay seller, I just have a lot of great stuff that I have collected and accumulated over the years and would like the items to go to someone who has appreciated them as much as I have. If you are going to be a hassle Please don’t even bid! I don’t want the drama. I have been collecting great stuff from around the world for years. I live in NYC and have worked as a fashion executive for Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger. Both jobs afforded me with amazing travel experiences and access to beautiful and unique items. I also have worked on a vast amount of freelance interior design projects. I have a lot of home furnishings items (fabric, trim, house wares) Most items are gifts or purchased things that I just do not have the space for. I’m prompted to start listing now because my family is selling our weekend house, This is fortunate for you because after years of using the spare bedrooms and closets as my own storage facility I have a lot of stuff that I would like to sell and not store in my NYC home. Also I am trying to be a little more Zen and clear some stuff to be a little more free and so I will not have to pay additional money for a storage bin.I do not want the hassle of haggling with antique dealers or having a huge garage sale.I will be periodically posting items that I feel would be valuable to you! If there is anything in particular you are looking for please drop me a note via e-bay, we might both be pleasantly surprised. All of the items are 100% authentic unless otherwise stated.
