RARE KEY OF C SOPRANO SAXOPHONE MOUTHPIECE - VINTAGE 1920 ' S " KING " C EQUA - TRU
Item History & Price
This listing is for a rare mouthpiece for key of C soprano saxophone. It is a "KING" C "EQUA-TRU", made by the H.N. White Company. Key of C soprano saxophones are slightly smaller than a standard soprano sax, and thus need a specially designed mouthpiece to play in tune. Such mouthpieces are virtually ...impossible to find, as they rarely come up for sale. If you have been struggling with intonation on your key of C soprano, don't pass this one by!
This piece is in excellent condition. The tip, table, and rails are original, and perfectly smooth. The tip opening measures .040" on the dot. There are no tooth indentations on the beak. There is some exterior scratching, but that is about all. It is still black and shiny. It comes with the ligature shown, which I believe is original to the mouthpiece. The screw heads look like the type King used. The ligature looks to be gold plated. It is in excellent condition as well.
