Title:Antique Display Case or ShowcaseDescription:Presented for your consideration is this antique display case (or showcase). The case was originally used in a general store for display purposes. This showcase has oak framework with clear glass on the front, top, and sides. The back door of the case is made of solid oak with a mirrored interior. Hinges and knob handle on the door are metal. The door easily opens and closes. In the center of the top edge of the door it has a small plaq...ue that reads "National Show Case Co. 390 Canal Street N.Y." Inside bottom of the case is made of solid oak. Dates to the late 1800s and guaranteed to be antique. This medium sized showcase would be great for displaying larger collectibles such as glassware, sports memorabilia, and collector plates. The list of possibilities is endless! A great addition to any general store memorabilia or general antique collection!
There is a small chip in the side trim of the door. Mirror has some wear spots ranging in size. The most significant wear spot is in the center of the mirror. There is a small hole drilled just above the knob handle and one is on the inside edge of the case where a lock was placed at one time. Typical wear from age and use. Glass is free of chips and cracks. Overall in GOOD-VERY GOOD condition. Sold AS FOUND. Please refer to the photos for the absolute best details.
