WELCOME Thisoffer is forVintage 1940's McCoy ThreeFooted Jardiniere/Flower Pot Daisy Motif an antique, sad iron from H.B. & CO, READINGPA. This is a vintage sad iron marked “no.5 H.B. & Co. Reading PA”. It has a metal handle. Flatirons were also called sad irons or smoothing irons. The sad in sad iron (or sadiron) is anold word for solid. Thisiron measures approximately 5 1/2” long x 4 1/2” high x 3 1/2” wide weighing approximately4.625 lbs. It i...s quite sturdy.Itis in original finish, having previously been painted black, the original painthas worn off in spots revealing the original cast metal which as rusted inplaces, giving the piece a real antique look. Otherwise, there is no damage.
