Up for auction is a beautiful Mason Standard Grade glasseye Drake Mallard, ca. 1915. It is in fine original paint showing only minor rubs to the tip of the bill, top of the head and end of the tail. The right side of the head and body does show a few shot marks. The paint is really nice and bright, and exhibits very good scalloping around the breast including showing some of the coveted painter's brush... swirls. The feather loops are nice and clear. It does show some minor flaking on the body and head. NO check on the bottom. There are a few areas with a coat of grey paint on the right side of the back and couple spots of touch up on the head, all covering what look to have been flaking to the original paint. All in all, this is a really example with very strong paint. Measures 16” long; 5” wide; and 6-1/2” tall. Please ask questions or for more pictures.
